Company Overview
Daawo Peace and Development Network (DPDN) is an independent non-governmental and non-profit civil society organization based in Somalia, established on August 15, 2007. It was formed by a group of development sector professionals who aimed to address the pressing needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged communities across the regional states.
DPDN's mission focuses on capacity building and delivering sustainable health services, but its work extends to various sectors, including education, water, hygiene, sanitation, youth and women empowerment, disaster response, governance, and human rights.

DPDN contribute to ensuring that vulnerable groups such as women, children, and young people have access to basic rights such as education, health, and employment through a value system based, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in the society.
DPDN has strong linkages with major Governments, NGOs and funding agencies working in
the Republic of Somalia. It has undertaken initiatives in arid and semi-arid districts with special
reference to Dollow, Luuq, Bardhere, Beled xawa and Ceelwaq districts by collaborating with
local NGOs and CBOs. DPDN enjoys a rich experience of working in the diverse socio-cultural
environment of the Republic of Somalia and extensive networking with the National & Regional
States, civil society institutions, media and political parties.
The goal of DPDN is to contribute to improving the living standard of vulnerable communities through community mobilization, capacity building, advocacy & strengthening of institutions at the grass-root.
A sustainable strategy is devised to achieve the maximum, and a need-based, and rights-based approach is initiated to ascertain the problem with full community involvement and mobilizing
all indigenous and local resources. The program goal materialized with a helping hand from
